He received his Masters in Physical Therapy from the University of Maryland, Baltimore in 1998. Since graduating, he has worked as a physical therapist and director in Glen Burnie and the surrounding areas of Anne Arundel County. In 2007, he decided it was time to open his own outpatient physical therapy and fitness center.  Bud is also a frequent contributor to Impact, the magazine of the private practice section of the American Physical Therapy Association.

His training includes advanced coursework in manual therapy, spinal biomechanics, and foot/ankle dysfunction. He has treated patients ranging in age from 5 weeks to over ninety years old. His specialties include spine care, joint replacement rehabilitation, orthotic fitting, prosthetic training, pediatric orthopedics, and foot/ankle biomechanics. He enjoys working with challenging orthopedic cases.

As a lifelong athlete, Bud continues to stay active playing soccer, running, and weight training. He is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association. He has coached youth soccer and has assisted with youth volleyball. His goal is to help his patients and fitness clients adopt and sustain active lifestyle habits.

Kara Hamilton, DPT, MTC - Physical Therapist

Kara Hamilton joined the practice in June 2010.  After growing up in the area, she received a B.S. from Towson University in 1999.  Kara earned a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences in St. Augustine, FL while completing all the necessary course and clinical work for a Manual Therapy Certification.  Since graduating in 2002, she has worked primarily in Outpatient Orthopedic settings, but her most recent experience was in an Industrial Rehab setting as a Functional Capacity Evaluator.  Kara enjoys treating a variety of orthopedic conditions with a Manual Therapy approach.  When she is not treating patients, she stays very busy as a mom of two young children.  If there is any time left over, Kara enjoys running and spending time at the beach.

Kristin Harris, PTA - Physical Therapist Assistant

Kristin first joined our team as a tech in 2009 after deciding to pursue a career in Physical Therapy. Throughout her time as a tech, she attended school full-time with the Chesapeake Area Consortium of Higher Education to become a Physical Therapist Assistant, and completed the program in May 2011.  She passed her National License Exam in July 2011 to officially re-join APTF as a PTA.  Kristin has a special interest in rehabilitating orthopedic injuries and looks to pursue a higher degree in Health and Sports Sciences in the near future.

Kristin competed as a pole vaulter during her four years of track and field at Chesapeake High School, and assisted as a pole vaulting coach there during her free time after graduation.  Kristin loves to stay active and try new things, from skydiving to trapeze-flying to competing in a triathlon.
